Valerie Walsh Jolley, a native of Douglas, Cork, discovered her artistic calling at a remarkably young age, embarking on her creative journey at the tender age of seven. As she matured, Valerie pursued formal artistic education at the esteemed Crawford Art College in Cork, followed by enriching studies at the National College of Art & Design (NCAD) in Dublin. Her dedication and talent were duly recognized during her academic pursuits, earning her a prestigious silver medal for portraiture at NCAD.

A seasoned educator, Valerie later qualified as an Art teacher, imparting her knowledge and passion to aspiring young artists at Mount Mercy College, Cork. Her commitment to nurturing artistic talent has left an indelible mark on the artistic community.

Valerie's artistic prowess has been showcased in numerous one-man exhibitions and prominent group exhibitions, hosted at distinguished venues such as Hotel Europe in Killarney, The Private Collector in Innishannon, The Bad Art Gallery in Dublin, The K Gallery in Cork, and the Lavitt Gallery in Cork. Her works, which have garnered acclaim, now grace private collections across the globe.

Two years ago, Valerie made the decision to fully devote herself to her artistic calling, bidding farewell to teaching. Presently, she presides over her own gallery nestled in the heart of Douglas, Cork. The latest expressions of her artistic vision are on display at her private gallery, open to discerning visitors by appointment.
